Ordination Requirements
The First Church of Wicca is dedicated to fostering the growth of quality,
credentialed ministers to better serve the Pagan Community. Our High Priests and
High Priestesses are ordained directly through the First Church of Wicca and
learn to serve the Pagan Community in the same capacity as an ordained minister
of any other faith. Once a candidate fulfills the requirements listed below, they may
apply to the First Church of Wicca for ordination. Ordination is a calling from the
God and Goddess and this decision should not be taken lightly. Here at the First
Church of Wicca, all ordained clergy are required to serve a minimum of 100
hours per year doing Hospital, Military, or Prison Chaplain work.

In order to be considered for Ordination with the First Church of Wicca,
you must, first, be invited by the Elder High Priestess to serve in the
capacity of a church Elder. Once the invitation has been accepted, the
Elder must fulfill the following requirements and then apply to the church
for ordination:

  • You must be an appointed Elder of the First Church of Wicca.

  • You must have completed "The Wiccan Way Class." This class is a self-help
class that teaches you how to incorporate Metaphysics into your life. The
lessons in this class are completed weekly and last for one year. Please

  • You must have completed the entire Pagan Pastoral Counseling Program at
Cherry Hill Seminary. Please click here for more information about the
    program.

  • You must have completed the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral Degrees
from the American Institute of Holistic Theology, specializing in Holistic
Ministry. When taking this program you will be required to take "A Course in
Miracles" as your elective. Please click here for more information about the
    program.

  • You must show proof of completion, of all programs, to the Elder High
Priestess and then submit an Ordination application to the First Church of
Wicca's Advisory Council for review. Please click here for application.

***Once your ordination application has been approved you will be required to
take your ministry vows. Then you will be given you Ordination certificate and a
purple cord to wear upon your church belt.***
