I am writing this letter to tell you about an amazing opportunity for our Pagan
community! I have been asked to edit a new book for Adams Media called "Out of
the Broom Closet: True Stories of Witches Who Found the Craft - and
Learned to Embrace It."
What I am looking for is to hear your story! If you are a Witch, I need your story so
that it can be considered for publication in this book. Your story should be
anywhere from 700-2,000 words in length and I will certainly help you edit it. This
is a tremendous opportunity so please send me your story, even if you don't think
you are a great writer. I will help you.
The story will need to include a summary of how you found your faith, how you told
your family and friends (including their reactions), as well as a personal story within
the main story explaining a personal challenge or an epiphany in your faith and/or
coming out.
I have included two sample stories at the bottom of this email to give you an idea of
what I am looking for. I am here to help you throughout the process of writing your
story, so please lean on me as a resource to answer all of your questions.
If we do submit your story in the final manuscript, you will need to sign a contract
which I have already looked over. Adams Media will make the final decisions on
which stories are published and you will be notified by me if they are going to
publish yours. If you do make the final cut, you will receive a $50 payment from
Adams Media along with a free book. Please keep in mind, signing the contract
does not guarantee that your story will be published, but it is necessary to let them
know that your story can be used. Either way, you can't lose. Don't miss out on this
chance of a lifetime. They really want to hear what we have to say.
I will need several submissions in order to complete this book, so if you are
interested please email me at ReverendKendra@yahoo.com with "Out of the
Broom Closet" in the subject line to let me know that you will be submitting a story
to me as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your help and I look forward to
working with you on this project.
It's a Good Life!
Blessed Be!
