Pastoral Counseling
Pastoral Counseling is an effective tool in helping you look at your own existence
and answer questions such as:
Who am I? Where am I going? What am I doing? What is my life's purpose?
How do I handle specific challenges in my life?
During your Pastoral Counseling, Reverend Dr. Kendra Vaughan Hovey will practice
deep listening while you express the concerns and issues you are facing in your life.
During these counseling sessions you will experience a closeness with the God and
Goddess by sharing your emotions, through thoughts and experiences that include
your personal strengths and vulnerabilities. When we don't have someone to talk to
about our concerns, we tend to keep things bottled up inside and so can't make the
connection to the God and Goddess within. When we are given an environment and
an opportunity to make that connection we can figure things out by pulling our
personal strength from that source. Reverend Dr. Kendra will listen and ask thought
provoking questions and then suggest a self-help path in conjunction with Pastoral
counseling at regular intervals, in order to guide you into clarity and understanding
of your own personal truths. During this process you will be given the tools and the
skills to insure your continued personal and spiritual growth.
Often when people come to Reverend Dr. Kendra for Pastoral Counseling, along with
the difficult situation they are being faced with at that moment, they express how
difficult it is to find friends or family members that can listen and understand their
problems because of their religious preference. Rest assured that as an Elder High
Priestess of Wicca and having been involved with the Wiccan and Non-Wiccan
communities alike for over 15 years, Reverend Dr. Kendra can fully understand the
need to talk to someone who does understand. Someone that can help you find your
personal strengths and truths, as they relate to your own spiritual practice of Wicca.
